【摘要】:1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationoftheequibiaxialstrengthofadvancedceramicsatambienttemperatureviaconcentricringconfigurationsundermonotonicuniaxialloading.Inaddition,testspecimenfabricationmethods,testingmodes,testingrates,allowabledeflection,anddatacollectionandreportingproceduresareaddressed.Twotypesoftestspecimensareconsidered:machinedtestspecimensandas-firedtestspecimensexhibitingalimiteddegreeofwarpage.Strengthasusedinthistestmethodreferstothemaximumstrengthobtainedundermonotonicapplicationofload.Monotonicloadingreferstoatestconductedataconstantrateinacontinuousfashion,withnoreversalsfromtestinitiationtofinalfracture.1.2Thistestmethodisintendedprimarilyforusewithadvancedceramicsthatmacroscopicallyexhibitisotropic,homogeneous,continuousbehavior.Whilethistestmethodisintendedforuseonmonolithicadvancedceramics,certainwhisker-orparticle-reinforcedcompositeceramicsaswellascertaindiscontinuousfiber-reinforcedcompositeceramicsmayalsomeetthesemacroscopicbehaviorassumptions.Generally,continuousfiberceramiccompositesdonotmacroscopicallyexhibitisotropic,homogeneous,continuousbehavior,andtheapplicationofthistestmethodtothesematerialsisnotrecommended.1.3ValuesexpressedinthistestmethodareinaccordancewiththeInternationalSystemofUnits(SI)andPracticeE380.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
